About Green Is Easy
We started this site because the sustainability space has a tone problem.
On one end, there are militant zero-waste blogs that make you feel terrible for using a paper towel. On the other, there is corporate greenwashing that sounds nice and means nothing. Neither actually helps normal people make better choices.
Green Is Easy sits in the gap. We believe that doing 10% better is still better. That most of the highest-impact green habits cost nothing at all. And that when you do buy something, you deserve an honest cost breakdown — not a guilt trip.
What We Do
We publish three kinds of content:
- Free ideas that cost \$0 — behavior changes, DIY recipes, and habits that reduce waste and save money using stuff you already own.
- Product comparisons with honest cost breakdowns — upfront price vs. long-term savings, so you know exactly when a swap pays for itself.
- Interactive tools like our savings calculator and start-here quiz that give you personalized recommendations.
How We Make Money
Some of our product links are affiliate links — when you buy through them, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This is how we keep the site free and ad-free.
We never accept paid placements. No brand has ever paid us to feature a product. If we recommend something, it is because we tested it and it works.
Most of our content recommends free alternatives first. The products are there for when you are ready — not before.
Who We Are
Green Is Easy is an independent publication. We are not affiliated with any brand, retailer, or environmental organization. We are just people who got tired of being told that saving the planet requires a \$200 starter kit.
It does not. A bucket under the sink works fine.
